Job Summary:

JOB SUMMARY:
Analyze, develop and implement technical and business solutions to support the needs of the Information Technologies customers. Work with customers to provide technical expertise in the analysis, development and design of business applications that solve business problems or fulfill business needs. Provide technical support for business applications that are implemented and maintained by the Information Technologies department.

Job Description:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Prepare project estimates, system designs, and/or writes detailed program specifications, code, test, debug, configure and document programs that ensure development standards are followed and application and data security standards are implemented.
* Prepare SDLC documentation as needed in compliance with established architectural and documentation standards, and as required by Sarbanes-Oxley, including participating in creating project plans and project schedules per established department standards.
* Collaborate with other IT personnel and business users to investigate and resolve application issues and coordinate work efforts (Production Support).
* Provide technical leadership on project initiatives for medium multi-resource projects, ensuring solutions comply with architectural standards and established SDLC methodologies that meet Sarbanes-Oxley requirements.

SCOPE & IMPACT:
This position supports the Retail organization (140+ stores) to create technical solutions to advance applications. Responsibilities include support of functional areas across multiple disciplines, and divisions; and multiple systems and technology bases.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field with 2-4 years of relevant experience or equivalent.
* Analytical abilities in designing Retail related systems/applications.
* Knowledge of computerized problem- solving tools
* Ability to support multiple projects simultaneously.
* JAVA and SQL experience
* Travel: Up to 10%

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:
* Experience in more than one applicable development language/utility: HTML, Eclipse, SVN, DROOLS

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Office environment / no specific or unusual physical or environmental demands. Often required to sit, repetitive hand motion) hear, listen, and talk. Nearly continuously required to visually see information. Not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions.
