Description

The Department of Developmental Services (DDS) is seeking a motivated and experienced candidate for the role of Compliance Officer III (Program Monitor) for the Plymouth Area Office in Plymouth MA. The Program Monitor performs as the liaison between the Area Office and the Southeast Regional Office regarding information sharing, documentation, and data collection. This position monitors the wellbeing of DDS residents by collecting and maintaining up to date information gathered through Home and Community Services Information System (HCSIS) alerts, incident reports, restraints, the Disabled Person Protection Commission's (DPPC) investigation summaries as well as Investigative Processing System (IPS), and Meditech Reporting (MT reporting)

Duties and Responsibilities: (these duties are a general summary and not all inclusive)



  • Liaison with DPPC and DDS Investigations tracking all DPPC complaints.
  • Conduct administrative reviews for all DPPC complaints and prepare and distribute Action Plans for each (DPPC) complaint filed.
  • Investigate and obtain evidence and information through onsite visits to determine the extent and the validity of the alleged non-compliance regulations and policies and prepare evidence or information on appropriate recommendations.
  • Participate in Risk Management activities, and follow-up on recommendations as needed.
  • Track and monitor the schedule frequency of program visits by Area Office staff to ensure concerns divulged from the visits are addressed with the respective provider.
  • Train, coordinate, and monitor the citizen volunteers who participate in the Family/Citizen Monitoring Program as well as the Complaint Resolution Team and Citizen Advisory Board.
  • Maintain liaison between Area Office and provider agencies to provide information and to assist in compliance with DDS regulations and policies.
  • Act as the primary liaison for all Quality Enhancement activities.
  • Assist as needed on Area wide initiatives.


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Familiarity with Services to individuals with Disabilities.
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English or Trilingual in Spanish, English and Portuguese.
  • Experience with program evaluation
  • Experience organizing project tasks and coordinating team activities.


Agency Requirements:



  • Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
  • Must possess current and valid Class D Motor Vehicle Operator's License.


Schedule Information:



  • Full-time - 37.5 hour weekly position
  • Schedule - Monday through Friday from 8:45 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
  • Days off - Sunday and Saturday
  • Flexibility with work schedule will be required for this position.

Qualifications

Minimum Entrance Requirements: Applicants must have at least (A) four years of full-time, or equivalent part-time, experience in investigatory, law enforcement or regulatory administration work, or (B) and equivalent combination of the required experience and the substitutions below.

Substitutions:

A Bachelor's or higher degree may be substituted for a maximum of the two years of the required experience.*

*Education toward such a degree will be prorated on the basis of the proportion of the requirements actually completed.
