Your Opportunity:Corporate Graphics Commercial, a division of Taylor Corporation, is seeking a Plant Controller to join their team in North Mankato, MN! The functions included in the direction of this role are establishing and maintaining the plant's accounting principles, practices, procedures, and initiatives. This position leads the estimating function, prepares the annual budget & financial reports and presents findings and recommendations to top management. This role supports approximately 10 employees.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Plan and direct all financial aspects of the business' policies, objectives and initiatives according to the mission of the organization.
  • Lead financial planning and vision that guides the direction of the business.
  • Work with President and key leaders to ensure execution of plans to ensure the company is run efficiently and delivers profitability.
  • Responsible for completion of annual budget and ensures the business meets budgeted financial goals and objectives.
  • Ensure proper internal controls and financial integrity for Cost of Goods Produced and Inventory.
  • Lead Change Management Initiatives, developing a performance culture, fostering team work within the finance department and with key constituents.
  • Map out measurable short-term and long-term goals for the company and report on progress.
  • Continually plan ways to increase the company's profitability and stay on top of progress.
  • Maintain awareness of opportunities for expansion: customers, markets, new industry developments, investment, partnerships, alliances and mergers.
  • Advise the business on continuous improvement decisions regarding improving productivity, quality and efficiency of the business unit.
  • Maintain/Develop policies and procedures for financial processes in order to ensure optimization and compliance with established standards and regulations.
  • Evaluate the success of the organization by using a set of strategically important measures to determine the ongoing success that the organization is experiencing and non-measurable aspects of the work environment to gauge other aspects of business success.

You Must Have:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related field
  • 7+ years of experience in related field (manufacturing) and leading teams with confidence
  • Cost Accounting experience
  • Experience with implementation of new Financial and/or ERP systems
  • Ability to build and grow relationships, develop and coach a cohesive team and possess organizational agility skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively from financial meetings out to small and large teams and up to the President
  • Critical thinking and strong business & financial acumen
  • Possess a positive attitude and establish good working relationships with a variety of internal and external stakeholders
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, motivational abilities, and the ability to find and retain talented employees
  • Financial and operational knowledge of various industries
  • Ability to articulate and share a vision for your team, the transmission of optimism, and the ability to obtain input, sharing purpose-driven goals
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Demonstrated ability to evaluate business processes in a broad context
  • Self-starter who can manage projects so that areas of greatest risk are reviewed and issues are covered with management
  • Ability toprepareexecutive-levelsummaries, conclusions and recommendationsbased ondetail data
  • Ability to get results; canproactively and autonomously drive initiatives and projects from start to finish
  • Highly curious; strong analytical andproblem solving skills and ability to drive issues to resolution

We Would Also Prefer:

  • CPA, MBA
  • Working Knowledge of Lean/Six Sigma
