Job Summary:
Under the direction of the Radiology Director and Radiology Supervisor, performs those duties directly involved with a variety of Ultrasound imaging procedures and applying high frequency wound waves to provide static, real time, and doppler images/wave forms of the internal human anatomy to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases and pathology. Ultrasound exams are dependent upon the quality of images produced which is relative to the skill of the sonographer. Is responsible for ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. Carries out policies and procedures in accordance with all regulatory bodies. Operates the equipment used to produce optimal images. Operates equipment safely and maintains standards while performing all types of procedures within the scope of the A.R. D.M.S. Establishes and maintains a good rapport and professional relationship with fellow employees, other departments and medical staff.
