The Data Analyst will report to the Manager, Data Services and provide ad-hoc and recurring monthly data analysis services for sales, finance, warehousing, logistics, customer and product reporting. The Data Analyst will work very closely with the Business Intelligence (BI) development and delivery teams to support all aspects of operational reporting across the established Sonepar US Regions and provide Power BI administration, training & support services to the Sonepar analyst community.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years previous experience supporting reporting and analytics needs of sales, logistics, warehouse finance and accounting teams
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)
• Familiarity with data visualization practices & tools (Power BI, Tableau etc...)
• Experience working with relational databases
• An understanding of SQL and the ability to analyze, update and author SQL queries
• Understanding of distribution and supply chain concepts, operational performance management financial & accounting concepts, including balance sheet, P&L and cash flow statements
• Innovative and willing to propose solutions to problems presented and exercise discernment/judgment
• Ability to succinctly communicate priorities, deadlines and roadblocks
• Ability to understand and align business priorities with IT capabilities
• Organize and present data effectively based on the audience/consumers
• Outstanding time-management and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently
• Comfortable asking questions/seeking directions to ensure deliverables are timely and accurate
