Summary

The Tax Reporting Associate assists in performing a variety of entries and processing paperwork around Domestic and Foreign Tax Reporting. This includes working exception reports to correct error, IRS Federal and State filings as well as issuing Tax Documents for Stifel clients.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:



  • Process correcting entries in a timely manner, in accordance with departmental policy procedures.
  • Reviews the accuracy of all forms submitted by branch personnel.
  • Calculates value changes for investments priced at one dollar and makes appropriate quantity adjustment entries.
  • Responsible for setting up security numbers with BETA and ensuring coding is correct.
  • Images and indexes documents received, compute, records, and proofread data and other information such as records or reports.
  • Maintains and updates filing, inventory, mailing, and database systems, either manually or using a computer.
  • Reviews files, records, and other documents to obtain information to respond to requests.
  • Answers telephones, directs calls, takes messages and may answer correspondence, as directed.
  • Review and process all Federal, State and Foreign filings in a timely manner.


Qualifications:



  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1 years' professional business related experience required.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to relay information well in both written and verbal form.
  • Solid and reliable mathematical skills.
  • Able to organize, prioritize and manage multiple tasks, responsibilities and deadlines; is able to follow through and accomplish goals, manage expectations appropriately and use firm's resources efficiently.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Office Suite including Word and Excel.
