Division Overview Hubbell Power Systems (HPS) engages in the design and manufacture of a wide variety of products used by utilities. Today, HPS is deeply engaged in product solutions for OSP Communication utility purposes, and has been actively growing that segment of the business. HPS roots have historically been in high voltage transmission, distribution, substation, underground products used by electric utilities. HPS products are also used in the civil construction, transportation, gas and water industries. Posting Address Hubbell Power Systems Aiken, South Carolina 29801 Position Overview The Buyer/Planner will locate, qualify and lead suppliers to provide the highest quality product at the lowest cost with the highest timely delivery rate. Duties and Responsibilities Identify and qualify new low-cost suppliers for raw materials. Reviews master production schedule and work orders. Prioritizes for specific customer orders. Revises schedule according to work order specifications, established priorities, and availability or capability of workers, parts, material, machines, and equipment. Confers with department supervisors to determine progress of work and to provide information on changes in processing methods received from engineering departments. Compiles and prepares production reports as the need arises. Reviews and releases manufacturing production orders to meet shipping dates according to sales forecasts or customer orders. Skills and Experience Bachelors Degree 3-5 years' of purchasing and/or experience in a manufacturing environment Must possess strong written and oral communication skills Must have experience leading supplier relationships and negotiations Strong experience working with MRP systems; SAP highly preferred #LI-KH1 Hubbell Incorporated, its subsidiaries and affiliates, is an EO Employer AA: M/F/Veteran/Disability.
