The successful candidate will report to the Shared Resources Billing Supervisor and work as a team member for billing, accounting, and administrative. Judgment is used daily in interpreting policy, representing the department or program head, and in interacting with Center staff and outside organizations.



Responsibilities

    Process billing charges from numerous cores throughout Fred Hutch for weekly billing upload to accounting.
  • Submit invoices in ARIBA portal and process credit card payments in Global.
  • Maintain account creation requests for consortium and external customers for invoicing.
  • Process billing data submitted from Shared Resources and Divisional cores for weekly billing submittal to accounting.
  • Work with Accounting departments and Research Administrator to troubleshoot billing errors.
  • Assist with the collection effort of delinquent aging accounts.
  • Perform administrative duties to include answering and directing phone calls, providing information and resolution by answering questions and requests that come in through the shared inboxes, SRBIlling, and SRILAB.
  • Interpret and apply administrative policies to the work unit and ensure that systems are established within the office to protect sensitive or confidential information.
  • Manage and maintain customer relationship while facilitating prompt payment.
  • Coordinate training set-ups and registration for Shared Resources Cores Billing training events.
  • Create and maintain a filing system, both electronic and manual, following institutional policies and procedures.
  • Develop and update administrative tasks to increase efficiencies.
  • Assist in gathering information and distributing departmental materials.
  • Carry-out special assignments or projects that are specific to Shared Resources
  • Any other responsibilities as needed.


Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • BS Degree preferred
  • 2 years of experience required, 3 years preferred
