Symetra's Contact Center technology team is looking to hire a full time Senior Software Developer. This individual will work with the delivery team and business partners to help build, maintain, and deliver technology forward solutions used by Symetra's internal customers. Working as an individual contributor, this individual will be expected to partner with others in estimating development efforts based on high level requirements as well as all aspects of delivery.



  • A passion for delivering high quality software solutions along with excellent analytical, problem solving, and interpersonal skills is desired.
  • Candidates for this role will have a background in modern JavaScript languages as well as Agile methodologies, and native cloud development.
  • What you will do Design, code, implement, test and deliver highly scalable systems and services.
  • Participate in design and code reviews. Build highly scalable APIs that are being continuously deployed and updated through an automated CI/CD pipeline.
  • Troubleshoot and fix bugs. Test the stability and functionality of the application. Enable user analytics, logging, monitoring, and instrumentation for all services.
  • Maintain the security and integrity of the application software.
  • Write documents and provide technical training.
  • Adapt to a dynamic work environment and being creative within a team.
  • Collaborate with various team members and partners on requirements definition and feature design and development.
  • Take part in agile events to refine, estimate and deliver application features.

Compensation

Salary Range: $95,500 - $159,100 plus eligibility for annual bonus program
