ER Tech/Unit Secretary PRN

Assists with patient care based on individual patient needs within the scope of practice under direct supervision of the Registered Nurse. Maintains the department techs and is responsible for training and staffing of the ER techs.

Minimum Education

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Required Skills

Certifications:

1. Current American Heart Association BLS certificate or obtained within 90 days after hire date.

2. EMT Certification Preferred.

3. Current Kentucky CNA certification with current listing on the KBN Aide Registry preferred.

4. Two (2) years experience in acute hospital setting or in ambulance required.

Successfully complete Phlebotomy Training within 90 days of hire date.

Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

Language Skills: Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
