The Role

This role provides technical accounting assistance on complex business transactions. This role also analyzes financial information detailing assets, liabilities, and capital, and prepares balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other reports to summarize current and projected company financial positions.

Job Duties:

• Assess technical accounting implications for complex business transactions
• Understand new accounting literature, evaluate implications to the organization, and apply the standards, including drafting technical memos
• Establish, maintain, and enforce all accounting policies in accordance with US GAAP
• As a subject matter expert, partner with cross-functional business partners such as sales, service operations, legal, and product teams, in respect to a variety of company initiatives (e.g. system enhancement, and process improvement)
• Be a subject matter expert on technical accounting matters and research
• Ensure revenue is recognized in accordance with company policy and ASC 606
• Support management on post-acquisition purchase accounting as needed
• Provide hands-on transactional activity throughout the accounting cycle for proper accounting treatment
• Key contributor in special projects and resolution of complex issues as needed
• Performs all other related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree or higher in Accounting from an accredited institution
• 5 - 7 years of experience in public practice or technical accounting roles
• Active CPA
• Highly proficient in MS Excel
• NetSuite, SalesForce, and OpenAir experience (a plus)
