Senior Accountant at AffiniPay Hybrid - Austin, TX The AffiniPay + MyCase Accounting Team is in search of a Senior Accountant who will play a key role in the month-end close process, our ERP implementation, and serve as a senior team contributor while mentoring and guiding junior and other Staff Accountants on the team. You are an experienced Accountant who is a natural leader and self-starter who enjoys working in an open, collaborative environment. Your day-to-day: Hands on involvement in our ERP implementation (Workday) Help build and own the monthly closing process, providing mentorship for junior and other Staff accountants Perform Month End Close functions end to end including but not limited to: preparation of journal entries, review journal entries of other Staff accountants, reconciling general ledger and balance sheet accounts, and account variance analytics Understand the daily activities of the department and aid in coordinating and managing the period-end close process to ensure deadlines are met. Ensure procedures are in accordance with GAAP requirements and accounting department policies and procedures. Document internal controls and processes for accurate and timely financial reporting and make recommendations on improvements Assist with financial and tax audits by providing supporting schedules and documentation as requested. Perform ad hoc analysis and develop or recommend accounting methods and procedures as required. Lead efforts to automate processes by developing a deep understanding of source data and end user needs. Work across departments to gather data for implementation, design and oversight of processes. What we are looking for: You're a confident self-starter with a solid ability to work both independently and collaboratively with other departments You have a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail Excellent analytical, problem-solving, verbal, listening, and written communication skills Strong organizational and time-management skills Experience with Workday HRIS or FDM is a plus Must-Haves: 6+ years accounting experience (a blend of public and industry accounting experience preferred) Bachelor's degree in Accounting and/or Finance required, CPA preferred Knowledge of recent accounting pronouncements, GAAP, regulatory standards, and compliance requirements Experience with ERP Systems, implementation experience preferred (Sage Intacct, Workday) Demonstrated understanding of multi-entity and multi-currency financial consolidations Experience with year-end financial audits and related supporting workpapers Affini-Perks!
