R&D Engineer, Senior - Physical Verification 39045BR USA - North Carolina - Durham Job Description and Requirements The Synopsys IC Validator team is looking for a Software R&D Engineer. This individual will be designing and supporting physical verification software products for cutting-edge ICs and SoCs. Challenges include the ability to quickly learn and apply state of the art technology, design of highly efficient data structures and algorithms, and a commitment to deliver top quality production software which exceeds customer expectations. M.S. or Ph.D. degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field is required. Knowledge/Experience Required: Proficient in developing and maintaining complex software projects with C/C++ in a Unix/Linux environment. Strong background in data structures and algorithms. Strong analysis and problem-solving skills. Strong desire to learn and explore new technologies. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Knowledge/Experience Preferred: Familiarity with Physical Verification concepts (DRC, ERC, LVS, etc.) Familiarity with Python and Perl. Understanding of concurrent execution topics, such as distributed processing and multi-threading. Familiarity with software development lifecycle, tools, and frameworks, such as performance profiling and unit testing. In addition, this role may be eligible for an annual bonus, equity, and other discretionary bonuses.
