We're looking for a Software EDA Engineer to join the project support team who provides design communities daily support on their R&D activities.

Responsibilities

  • Develops and applies Computer-Aided Design department (CAD) software engineering methods, theories, and research techniques in the investigation and solution of technical problems

  • Plans technical projects in the design and development of application software

  • Defines and selects new approaches and implementation of software engineering applications and design specifications

  • Prepares design specifications and conducts a tech investigation

  • Work on team-oriented or task-oriented projects

  • May guide more junior peers with aspects of their job

  • Networks with senior internal and external personnel in own area of expertise

Key Qualifications

  • Bs or Ms degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Science or similar

  • Prior knowledge and experience of tool development, in Python, TCL, Shell scripting, Perforce or Jenkins

  • Has an excellent desire to learn and explore new technologies

  • Demonstrates good investigation and problem-solving skills

  • UNIX/Linux user knowledge

  • Builds productive internal/external working relationships

  • Executes projects from start to completion

  • Good oral and written communication skills in English

Preferred Experience

  • 2 / 3+ years of related experience.

  • Proficiency with at least one programming language

  • Experience with Schematic, Layout and spice simulation

  • Experience running and debugging DRC, LVS and Extraction runs

  • Advanced knowledge in using Synopsys CAD EDA tools

The base salary range across the U.S. for this role is between $81,000 to $141,000. In addition, this role may be eligible for an annual bonus, equity, and other discretionary bonuses. The actual compensation offered will be based on a number of job-related factors, including location, skills, experience, and education.
