About the Job

The Division of Maternal-Fetal Medicine at the University of Minnesota Medical School is seeking applications and nominations for an outstanding physician-scientist to be the next Division Director. The successful candidate will have a well-defined, funded research focus and will be able to provide leadership and growth of the research program with the division along with oversight of the education and clinical programs directed by other appointed division members.

We are seeking an innovative, enthusiastic and experienced assistant or associate professor to lead the Division. The Director will provide input into the overall strategic development and planning of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology while having significant protected time (50% or more depending on funding) to continue their own research and develop and mentor the division's research program. The Director will largely be responsible for supporting the recruitment, development and mentoring of research-oriented faculty and will be responsible for the oversight and analysis of the finances for the Division. The Director will maintain and monitor the division's scholarly productivity, review research efforts to ensure resources are directed appropriately, and develop strategies for ensuring support with extramural funding for research activities. Salaries in the division are very competitive as are the retirement and medical benefits. We are committed to promoting diversity, equity and justice in our recruitments.
