Want in? A Little About Us: The Yahoo Platforms Engineering (YPE) team is looking for a tools engineer to help support Yahoo's Machine Learning groups make the transformation to the public cloud. The YPE team provides central platforms and products, governance, security and cloud enablement to all Yahoo business units. The ideal candidate has familiarity with AWS and its most common services, some experience with AI/ML and tools such as Jupyter Notebooks, Python, and TensorFlow, and worked on full stack solutions in a production environment. The candidate will work closely with all Yahoo business units, as part of the cloud enablement group, to support existing ML tool solutions, help build new solutions and help enhance existing standards to meet business needs of running AI/ML in Public Cloud. The work of the enablement group and this candidate will be the tip of the spear for Yahoo's transformation. Responsibilities: Work collaboratively with engineers across the organization Build on existing and create new standards that leverage the ML ecosystem Bring your cloud experience to all of Yahoo's businesses Ensure all migrations are completed in a secure and governed environment Help orchestrate the cloud platform environment for ML/AI Be curious about finding the right solutions to problems Enhance standards and "paved roads" to the benefit of all engineering Required Skills: Great teamwork and communication skills 2+ years experience working in AWS 2+ years experience working in AWS services; EKS, Lambda, EC2, Dynamodb, EC2, ElastiCache Maintaining and deploying large-scale systems along with operational concerns such as monitoring, metrics, logging, survivability, and resource management. Familiarity with large data storage tools such as Hadoop, Spark, Elasticsearch, etc. Experienced in CloudFormation, Terraform, or CDK Experience leveraging AWS APIs Experience with end-to-end automation and CI/CD workflow Excellent troubleshooting skills Experience with containers, and preferably Kubernetes Proficient in coding in their favorite language (Python preferred) Yahoo is proud to be an equal opportunity workplace.
