Summary Posted: May 12, 2022 Weekly Hours: 40 Role Number: 200377807 The Global Business Solutions' Record to Report team is responsible for many of Apple's key financial accounting activities. This dedicated team helps Apple, and all its subsidiaries present their financial documents in compliance with GAAP and local accounting standards. Our organization is fast paced and dynamic as it needs to support the growth of Apple throughout many industries. We are looking for an accountant to support the Apple Mexico divisions. Key Qualifications USGAAP, IFRS and local Mexican GAAP knowledge Willingness to keep learning the ever-evolving Mexican local accounting requirements Knowledge of the Mexican tax system Ability to work independently Excellent analytical, written, and verbal communication skills Detail oriented and highly organized The ability to prioritize and manage multiple deliverables with competing timelines Proven record of meeting deadlines Interest in understanding processes end to end Comfortable with representing the team in projects and meetings Value collaboration and teamwork Description Create, improve, and analyze journal entries for multiple areas of the business Reconcile general ledger accounts during US and local period close Liaising with Mexico tax teams to ensure proper tax calculations and reconciliations Present and explain financial documents to leadership Represent Apple during external audits Submit reports to local authorities Represent the team during projects Answer and research accounting inquiries Participate in multilingual meetings in English and Spanish Perform flux analysis Collaboration with internal and external business partners Education & Experience Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance 5 + years of experience in accounting Fluent in Spanish MBA, MA, and CPA are a plus Additional Requirements
