About this role:

iRhythm is currently seeking an experienced, motivated Senior Android Mobile Engineer working remotely. Our work environment is fast paced, with a collaborative atmosphere. You will work on all layers of the mobile applications -- everything from database and service layers to UI components. You will help us redefine our patient experience by helping develop a new UI library to match a brand-new design system and helping rebuild our current patient codebase to use a shared Kotlin architecture. Our new mobile applications will be responsible for handling communication between the application and the Bluetooth device, syncing data to our servers, maintaining connectivity, and ensuring minimal device battery consumption.

About you:

You are an experienced mobile engineer looking to create world class medical applications on the mobile platform. You value positive collaboration and high quality, testable code. You embrace new technology and enjoy learning new programming languages. You enjoy collaborating with other engineers and cross functional teams throughout the development process. You handle complexity well and are thoughtful in your technical solutions. What you value most is a positive user experience.

Requirements:

• 5+ Years of software development experience with at least 3 years developing Android mobile applications
• Proven delivery and maintenance of at least 3 applications in the Google Playstore
• Experience in building Android mobile applications from scratch, preferably cross-platform mobile development
• Proficient in Kotlin and Java
• Experience with client/server architecture using RESTful APIs
• Experience in Kotlin Mobile Multiplatform (KMM) and Jetpack Compose is a plus
• Experience with popular build tools and at least one CI/CD system, such as Fastlane, Gradle, Git, GitHub, BitBucket, Jenkins, Bamboo, or others
• Familiarity with metrics and log collection using platforms like Firebase Analytics, Crashlytics, and Pendo
• Bachelor's and/or Master's degree, preferably in Computer Science, or equivalent experience
