We want you on our team...Bourbon Community Hospital located in Paris, a 20-minute drive from Lexington, KY is searching for a Full Time, Certified Medical Assistant for our General Surgery department who performs routine clinical and administrative duties in support of assigned area or office.

Essential functions of position include, but are not limited to:

Under the supervision of physician or nurse, assists with performing patient assessments and treatments.

Performs basic diagnostic procedures and specimen collection. Monitors and communicates changes in patient condition. Documents patient care given.

Maintains equipment and medical supplies, including reordering, stocking, cleaning, and troubleshooting. Maintains examination areas.

Performs administrative or clerical duties as assigned, including filing, reception, scheduling, data entry, and patient registration.

Minimum Education

High school diploma or equivalent - Required

Graduate of accredited medical assistance program or equivalent - Required

Required Skills

Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

Certifications:

Basic Life Support (BLS) - within 30 days of hire

CCMA, CMA, RMA certification required
