*Overview:*
The *Accountant I - Generalist (Seasonal)* will be part of a team responsible for many functions in the shared accounting services structure. The Accountant I - Generalist will report to an Accountant II, Supervisor or Manager responsible for their primary role.
*How You'll Make A Difference: *
* Process Accounts Payable transactions such as invoices, check requests, expense reports and credit cards timely and accurately, ensuring on-time vendor payments and maximizing early payment discounts. Verify accuracy of invoices against purchase orders and receivers before routing for approval(s).
* Complete the Revenue process daily by importing data between systems, researching/fixing errors, and entering any approved manual information, then review results with Accountant II, Supervisor or Manager. Create and distribute an Over/Short Report on all days of operation.
* Assist with the weekly close of UKG Time and Attendance which includes communicating with operating divisions to ensure data in UKG is corrected of errors and is ready for processing in a timely manner.
* Assist Payroll team with data input, imports, and exports. Verify and research accuracy of data to ensure error-free associate pay and accuracy of payroll taxes.
* Process Accounts Receivable deposits, apply payments to accounts, and create credit/collection reports.
* Import or manually enter journal vouchers into the Financial Reporting system. Assist with review and distribution of reports.
* Assist in researching credit card chargebacks and Paypal disputes, assist in answering guest inquiries on credit card charges and assist in the completion of the credit card reconciliation.
* Assist Operational Accounting in tracking, reporting, and coding Company capital in progress, fixed assets, and inventories.
* Assist with input, processing and review of data, reports and reconciliations as directed by leadership.
* Other assigned duties by an Accountant I or II, Supervisor, Manager or Director.
*We're Looking For:*
* High School diploma / GED required.
* Prefer a candidate currently enrolled and pursuing a B.S. Degree in Finance, Accounting and/or Business Administration.
* Previous clerical or office experience is also preferred, but not necessary.
* Experience with Microsoft Office Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint.
* Ability to pass a mandatory (or random) drug test and background check, which may include, but is not limited to credit, criminal, DMV, previous employment, education, and personal references, pursuant to Company policy.
