This role will provide leadership in architecture, design, and development to support our custom software teams with a focus on application and platform technology. Leverage industry best practices and technological innovations to provide solutions that contribute to increased efficiency. Develop a team of dedicated, highly skilled engineers to take on common problems, encourage standard methodologies, improve quality and enable experimentation. Regularly interact with engineers, program managers, and senior management. Work with engineers to develop detailed and creative solutions to sophisticated problems. Qualifications: Minimum five years' experience supporting mission-critical applications; programming in a variety of languages; and using a Systems Development life cycle Minimum five years' experience leading software engineering teams. Established ability to mentor software engineers in a team setting, including architecture, design, and code review. Participate on committees responsible for the architecture, development, implementation, and support of new and enhanced applications Broad understanding of systems technology trends and the ability to critically assess and evaluate those trends as they apply to the organization. Strong communication, interpersonal, project management, organization, and leadership skills. Ability to generate and articulate new ideas and adapt effectively to new technologies Bachelor's degree or higher in computer science, software engineering, or commensurate experience Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and strengthen our culture of inclusion Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
