JOB SUMMARY

Provides direct patient care to patients using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice.

Minimum Education
Associate's degree required.

Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

Required Skills
Certifications:
AHA Basic Life Support (BLS), within 30 days of hire
AHA Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 6 months of hire
NRP, STABLE, Fetal Monitoring (after competency in L&D is demonstrated), usually within 6 months of hire

Licenses:
* Current and active Registered Nurse Licensure for the State of Tennessee.
