POSITION DUTIES:
This position is responsible for providing accounting support to staff and responding to fiscal inquiries:



  • Receives, processes, maintains, the preparation of various receipts, invoices, statements, payments, fees and/or other related information, which may include purchase orders for goods and services (creating, adjusting, or closing orders). Ensures appropriate approvals and performing other related duties.
  • Reviews financial information and documents for compliance with applicable policies and procedures. May research discrepancies and make corrections as necessary.
  • Provides customer service, to include, receiving and resolving issues and responding to various requests and questions.
  • Complies and maintains a variety of reports, financial data, market trends, pricing sheets, and/or other related information.
  • Creates, maintains and upgrades filing systems for the finance department.
  • Allocates and processes P-Card purchases for agency employees, to include acquiring receipts for purchases to be entered in JP Morgan.
  • Corresponds with vendors and county employees regarding payments, purchase orders, and procedures via email/phone.
  • Ensures SAM registration is up to date.
  • Performs other duties of similar nature of level.

DIRECTION RECEIVED:

MINIMUM EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
High School diploma or G.E.D and 3 years of related experience.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must pass local, state, and federal background investigation, polygraph, pre-employment physical, and must have a valid driver's license.

SCHEDULE REQUIREMENTS:
37.5 Full-time hours, Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:00pm

FLSA:
Non-Exempt

SALARY:
Starting hourly rate $22.01 an hour.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Positions in this class typically require, standing, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, seeing and repetitive motions.

Sedentary Work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.
