The Job:

Our Global Offshore team is hiring an Account Manager. This person is responsible for administration, strategic planning, and coordination of the sales activity and account management and for the overall success of the region or assigned location for which the account manager is assigned.

What You'll Need:




  • Relationship development and management with key individuals and decision makers at assigned clients.



  • Focal point for all technology planning and delivery services.



  • Oversees the creation, alignment and ongoing management of strategies and project implementation.



  • Establishes and maintains the primary contact between ABS NS and assigned clients.



  • Understands client processes.



  • Establishes business cases for products and services not currently being utilized.



  • Acts as liaison for the client with all departments within the NS organization.



  • Performs on-site client visits as necessary.



  • Collaborates with consulting staff working assigned client projects.



  • Generates Sales, Consulting and Class leads.



  • Oversees the Accounts Receivable process for NS Clients.



  • Facilitates and follows-up assigned client needs, issues and enhancement requests.



  • Aligns Product Management priorities with client priorities.



  • Monitors customer satisfaction.



  • Manages the expectations of each assigned client.



  • Communicates project status and issues to Global Account Management Director.



  • Monitors client support issues from initial notification through resolution and client acceptance.



  • Facilitates timely support issue resolutions.



  • Participates in client committees and user conferences as directed.



  • Utilizes existing software and services for handling of Client Relationship Management (CRM).



  • Creates and submits timely and accurate reports (expense) related to client activities.



  • Provides support to consulting, development and sales groups as requested.




Qualifications

What You'll Need:



  • Requires a minimum of 10 years relevant experience.
  • Bachelor's degree or recognized equivalent from an accredited university, preferably in an engineering/technical discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • Skills to organize, plan and direct the work activities of professional employees, and to handle multiple ongoing projects.
  • Administrator, specifically in the areas of cost reporting, client billing and revenue forecasting.
  • Knowledge of the unique natures of both software product management and of the maritime industry.
  • Strong client base development skills. An entrepreneurial mentality to recognize and capitalize on new business opportunities.
  • Ability to negotiate agreements with clients concerning scope of work and billing rates.
  • Working knowledge of the ABS Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental Management System.

Reports to a Manager, Director or Executive level position

May have individual contributor direct reports

Working Conditions:

Work will normally be performed in an air-conditioned office environment. Travel is required and can be extensive. The ability to safely board vessels, including climbing stairs, ladders and gangways is required.
