POSITION: Medical Assistant, bilingual Portuguese speaking HOURS: Full time including some evenings PROGRAM: Sexual & Reproductive Health Services LOCATION: Hyannis BENEFITS: Medical, Dental, Vision, 403b Retirement Plan, Employee Assistance Program, etc. DUTIES: Under the supervision of the Hyannis Site Manager, the Medical Assistant will work within the sexual and reproductive health services clinic to support the provision of clinical services. Responsibilities include the following:
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Bilingual Portuguese speaking; prior experience as a Medical Assistant in a busy office; high school diploma; computer literacy essential. Must demonstrate good interpersonal and communication skills in English and be sensitive to the needs of a culturally diverse population; prior experience working with low income and vulnerable populations; demonstrated ability to communicate unbiased reproductive health knowledge to patients (adolescents and adults of all genders) in an effective and culturally competent, non-judgmental manner.
