Sr. Respiratory Therapist, VL Respiratory Care (36hrs per week) NightsJob Description: Possesses experience and is highly knowledgeable and skilled in respiratory care and assessment. Provides competent basic and specialty care utilizing an interdisciplinary approach and individualizing care to meet unique patient needs. Able to manage unexpected emergency situations effectively. Serves as preceptor for new employees and respiratory care students. Min Qualifications: Graduation from an approved school of Respiratory Therapy with a Bachelor’s degree in Respiratory Care or other healthcare-related specialty and three (3) years of experience in respiratory care, to include at least two (2) years of critical care experience or Graduation from an approved school of Respiratory Therapy and five (5) years related experience, to include at least three (3) years of recent critical care experience.Must be a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) and maintain credentials with the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) as well as licensure as a Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) with the Texas Department of State Health Services. Must have one (1) specialty credential (i.e. RRT-ACCS, NPS, RPFT, RPSGT, LNFA) or obtain within six (6) months of becoming a Senior Respiratory Therapist. Must maintain specialty credential while classified as a Senior Respiratory Therapist. Must have current BLS and ACLS. Specific Job Related Duties:
Preferred License/Certificate Must have one (1) specialty credential (i.e. RRT-ACCS, NPS, RPFT, RPSGT, LNFA). Salary Range Salary commensurate with experience.
