Job Description:

Joining our Consulting Financial Services practice is an opportunity to join a dynamic and growing practice which has a passion for serving clients and our community. From day one of your career, you will assist our clients to transform their governance, embed risk in their decision-making, and arm them with insights that will make them stronger. We will enable an entrepreneurial and innovative environment for you to deliver transformative consulting services and to develop deeply specialized skill sets demanded in today's market.

Our Financial Services Technology Audit Managers provide oversight of teamed client project delivery, such as IT general controls, FDICIA/SOx control testing, cybersecurity and comprehensive technology audits. Our managers complement project teams of several individuals; supplying procedural advisement on methodology, quality control and making necessary adjustments to align to client agreed upon procedures. On average, specific client projects are executed over a four week fieldwork period.

Beyond individual project work, managers assist with routine annual client planning, which may include completing detailed risk assessments, establishing audit plans and projecting expected auditing budgets. Most managers also serve as career mentors to our staff and senior staff; providing direction and support to individuals who are working through continuous upskilling of their existing consulting capabilities.

Example tasks that you will encounter in this role including the following:

  • Overseeing fieldwork teams of up to ten personnel within a project

    • Establishing performance expectations and providing timely evaluation of team members

    • Being responsible for the quality and consistency of Crowe's client deliverables

  • Performing complex control testing and teaching our methodology to others

  • Continuously develop Crowe's brand and our client relationships through delighting our clients with quality service and expected execution standards

  • Recognizing and assisting with the development of future team leaders

Qualifications:

Educational and Professional Credentials

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred. Majors in Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, Information Technology, and Cybersecurity are preferred

  • Experience working in the financial services sector required

  • Beyond five years of career experience in Information Technology auditing or consultation

  • Attainment of CISA, CISSP, CISM or similar required

Preferred Knowledge and Skills

  • Proven experience with IT audit project planning and execution

  • Experience and desire to supervise others, through direct and indirect mentorships

  • Capable of conveying (verbal/written) critical observations associated with our fieldwork to individuals with variable level of subject expertise

  • Passion for maintaining a leading audit methodology, within the Information Technology/Cybersecurity specializations

  • Sustained knowledge of leading financial sector technology frameworks and sources, such as Federal Financial Institutions Examination Council, National Institute of Standards and Technology, International Organization for Standardization, Center for Internet Security and Cyber Risk Institute

  • Prior experience with banking operations, financial applications, back-office IT infrastructure, and core IT operational areas
