SSF is always interested in adding bright and motivated individuals to our growing and sophisticated tax practice. Currently we are seeking Tax Associates for our growing and nationally recognized Tax practice.

Duties of the position:

Tax work will include:



  • Tax return preparation
  • Tax research
  • Other related duties for partnerships (and LLCs), C and S corporations, as well as individual entity types
  • Client interaction, consisting primarily of phone and e-mail contact



To include but not limited to the following tasks:



  • Performing accounting services of various scopes
  • Documenting procedures
  • Rolling binders and templates
  • Client meetings
  • Clearing points once work is reviewed by seniors
  • Attending various training courses

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree with Accounting major or emphasis
  • Masters degree in Taxation or Accountancy is desirable
  • Strong undergraduate and graduate GPA a 3.2 minimum overall or in accounting/tax related coursework preferred
  • Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
  • High level of motivation to learn and to perform excellent work
  • Ability to interact effectively with others within the firm and with a highly credentialed and sophisticated client base
  • Ability to work flexibly as part of a team striving to fulfill periodic and other client requirements
  • CPA, or qualified to take CPA exam preferred
  • Prior accounting firm experience is not required, but is helpful
  • Clear verbal and written communication is required
